Following a period of significant internal investment, the business now offers capture, print and retail solutions for creators within the art sector as well as bespoke framing solutions to the public, businesses, and creators.

Role and Responsibilities

Own the design function from the top and work as part of the design team to create work for a variety of projects and in the ‘house style’ working closely with the Head of Communications and Marketing and Managing Director assisting in planning and preparing visually and commercially impactful campaigns across online and offline channels.

Demonstrate an understanding of client briefs/wants/needs and produce creative concepts whilst stretching the creatives to produce powerful work and managing client expectations effectively. Mediating between the design team and the clients to facilitate feedback and amends.

Invest time and research into new ideas and ways of working to improve the efficiency of the design processes. Be obsessed with the detail when it comes to colour palettes, font, positioning, stock selection, styling etc and present new creative techniques for cross media marketing and audience engagement.

Approach conceptual and practical challenges with a clear focus.

Own the look and feel of the retail stores and online e-commerce store ensuring a consistency for online and retail stores taking in to account the annual marketing calendar, launches, promotions and seasonal changes.

Project outputs will vary but will typically include adverts for print and online media publications, website, social media, email marketing, online product photography plus printed materials including:

Banners and posters

Leaflets, flyers, and product brochures

External and internal signage

Exhibition materials

Day to day retail POS materials

Stationery items, business cards, letterheads, and compliments slips

You will also lead product design and procurement process for new merchandise which has previously included:

Greetings cards

Ceramics

Textiles

Stationary

Oversee the deployment of the weekly company internal newsletter.

Lead the effective and efficient planning and delivery of campaign photo-shoots for art and merchandise launches, re-shoots of existing products and company events and initiatives. Editing photos as required and preparing them for use online.

Provide regular reports on team effectiveness and campaign success in regard to design concepts and evaluation of campaigns taking the opportunity to identify trends, customer buying patterns and successes of promotions etc.

Skills and Experience

To be successful as a senior graphic designer, you should have extensive knowledge of graphic design, styles, and techniques. You should also have experience in implementing marketing campaigns. Ultimately, an excellent senior graphic designer will ensure that the design team promotes the vision of the company through high-quality graphic content.

Working experience with image design tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

Problem-solver and able to multitask.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and able to work across multiple departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
