Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity (the charity) are excited to be expanding their team and are looking for creative, dynamic and diligent individuals to join them. This is an exciting time to join the charity with ample opportunities to make your mark as we look to launch our latest multi-million charity appeal that will make a transformational difference to patients, their families and carers at the hospital. This is a new role that will be responsible for generating income from trusts, foundations and grant giving bodies for a £4m fundraising appeal to deliver much-needed patient, family and carer accommodation located on the hospital site in Truro. There has long been a need for some dedicated accommodation so that loved ones can be together during the most stressful of times, with many families travelling hours to reach the hospital. Providing a much more holistic offer than simply a place to stay, the accommodation will improve accessibility to care and bring significant benefit for patients, families and carers, including respite, mental health support, a place to cook meals and meet others in similar situations. The Senior Grants Officer will be a part of the Appeal Team managed by the Appeal Director working closely with an established fundraising team already within the charity to deliver the largest fundraising appeal the Charity has ever launched.
