Purpose of the Job:

To produce high quality glazed spectacles, to meet customer expectations, with minimum rejections.

Key Requirements of the role include:

To work mainly within the glazing area of operations carrying out tasks in accordance to SOP:

  • Frame tracing
  • Manual & automated blocking
  • Shape finder operation
  • Lens edging (manual & automated)
  • Rimless Cell – self-sufficient

Hand finishing and fitting of:

  • Full rim metal/plastic frames (to include frame adjustments for fitting)
  • Supra frames – Nylon and Inline
  • Rimless Glazing Knowledge
  • Horn and special frame knowledge – Preferred but not essential.

Required Knowledge & Experience:

Must Have:

  • Glazing knowledge, minimum of 3-years experience in a fully functional Lab/shop environment.
  • Machine knowledge with the ability to follow an order from start to finish within a Rimless area.
  • Understanding of optical manufacturing processes

Desired:

  • Understanding of Carl Zeiss Vision products and descriptions
