With over 5 years experience working with top tier law enforcement, we offer best in class solutions that allow our customers to take action against or protect themselves from criminals and hackers - from threats they may not have seen coming.Our mission is simple - protect society from criminals using the dark web.We can’t shout about all of our successes, but our products have directly contributed to securing convictions for criminals of all types; protecting people and businesses around the world.***About the Position**We’re looking for an experienced PHP Developer to take a Senior or Principal role in our full stack development team - creating and maintaining our customer facing applications.Based in Portsmouth and supporting customers around the world, we’re looking for a proven developer with a real passion for all things PHP to take a senior role in our existing team - adding both extra capability and mentorship for junior developers.We work in an agile environment, and you would be involved in a mix of BAU focused work as well as personal projects - these could be investigative in nature, new feature development, and anything in between.***What are we looking for?** In-depth knowledge of PHP and Laravel* Knowledge of a front end framework, preferably Vue* Confident with Web Design, UI&UX Principles* Experience taking a senior role in a development team - management, mentoring, coaching etc.* Strong understanding of HTML, CSS & JavaScript* Knowledge of MySQL* Experience with debugging & code reviews.* Experience with code control using Git* An understanding of Virtualisation, preferably Docker; Kubernetes experience would be a bonus* Confidence working in Linux and the command line.* Understanding of Apache / Nginx / etc.* Experience with ElasticSearch would be useful***Progression and training routes?*Searchlight is a company with a real passion and commitment to developing it’s staff, and all of our employees are fully supported in their career goals.Typically most candidates will progress in their chosen career path, and progress from Junior to Intermediate, Senior and to Principal roles.You will be supported with a mentor in the form of your line manager who will support and guide your training needs.
