We are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our friendly Primary Healthcare Team. This post is fixed term for one year with a view to permanent. We are particularly interested to receive applications from candidates who have previous experience of general practice or NHS Finance.

We are a busy GP Practice in Central Middlesbrough.

Key skills required to meet this role are communication, ability to work under pressure, IT skills including spreadsheets. Excellent financial processes skills, bank reconciliations and preparation of practice accounts. You must have a can-do approach and the ability to work in a fast-changing environment is essential. Our ethos is to promote excellent customer care and drive to improve quality.

We are a member of Greater Middlesbrough PCN.

Duties include costing, providing financial information, bank reconciliations, NHS Pension Scheme management. Payroll, HMRC/PAYE year end functions making payments. Accruals and prepayments of management accounts. Other duties include preparation of invoicing, cash flow forecasting and ensuring monies are received into the practice in a timely manner. You must also be able to prepare accounts using SAGE 50 accountancy software. Coding to nominal ledgers and reconciling and analysis of ledgers. Journal entries will also be a prerequisite of this role.
