We are currently looking for someone to join our Finance team, based in Coventry, as a Senior Finance Officer (Compliance) to conduct compliance checks on finance operations within the group and support local offices in the management of card Managed Accounts and cover quarterly returns submissions. The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organisation that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide.

Location: Coventry, CV3 3GU. (Combination of home and office working).

Salary:£20,588 per annum, increasing to £21,000 per annum following probationary.

Hours:37 Hours per week. Days & Times: Mon-Fri, 8:30am – 5:00pm. Closing:Tuesday 4th October 2022.

The Role -Your main duties will include:

  • To be the lead point of conducting routine compliance checks on finance processes.
  • To be the lead point of conducting routine compliance checks on information submissions in to Finance and budget holder responsibility in financial information processing
  • To carry out sample reviewing, and spot checking of financial data held at all locations
  • To be the lead point of contact for processing Invoices and Payroll payments for Prepaid Card Managed Accounts
  • To support in implementing new processes and procedures for the Prepaid Card Managed Accounts
  • To support and cover the upload of funds to service users’ personal pre-paid cards (via AllPay) on a weekly/daily basis
  • To support the Assistant Finance Manager during absences to support the Virtual Wallet program (Lincolnshire)
  • To support and cover the Assistant Finance Manager with VAT returns submission
  • To support and cover the Assistant Finance Manager with quarterly Tax & NI returns submission
  • To provide, as necessary, any other financial duties as required within the scope and responsibility of the role

Skills, Experience and Qualifications - We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • AAT or working towards an accounting qualification
  • Minimum GCSE level English, Maths or equivalent
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access)
  • Sage line 50 experience
  • Previous experience of producing statistical reports and assignments
  • Experience of credit control
  • Able to produce standard reports and documents to a high standard
  • Be flexible and work to deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative in the development of office procedures and systems
  • Ability to remain within set budgets
  • Able to maintain comprehensive and accurate records
  • Bookkeeping qualification
  • ECDL qualification
