Senior Finance Manager

Hybrid - 1 day per week in Brighton offices

£65,000 - £70,000

Grafton Banks Finance is working with a global business to hire a Senior Finance Manager to join them on a contract basis.

The business is currently going through a period of transformation and this role will provide be responsible for leading a team to provide the statutory reporting and month end close for several entities globally.

We are looking for a qualified accountant who is technically strong and experienced producing statutory reporting, leading month end close, and has strong balance sheet management skills. Experience of leading a team is a distinct advantage and experience of IFRS would be useful but is not essential.

Our client is based in Brighton. They are happy to consider candidates working in the offices 1 day per week. It is a 9-month fixed term contract to start ASAP. Candidates on one months’ notice would be considered.

Key tasks:

  • Management of the interim and annual audit.
  • Review and prepare the statutory accounts and local reporting.
  • Management of the month end results, and month end close for entities in UK, US and rest of the world.
  • Liaise with the Commercial Finance teams and explain monthly variances.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the balance sheet and report quarterly on the risks and opportunities to key stakeholders.
  • Preparation of the quarterly balance sheet and below the line variance schedules and year end support schedule packs for corporate team.
  • Review of the accounting entries and reporting under IFRS 16 and reconciliation back to IAS 17
  • Oversee Capex procedures, accounting for all movements and depreciation.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the finance team.

Salary range for this role is £65,000 – 70,000 + benefits. Candidates wanting to work to a daily rate can also be considered. The role would be inside IR35 and would pay circa £400per day.
