Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, EMEA & APAC, you will be working at the intersection of Sales and Marketing for all of NAVEX’s marketing activities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH countries), blending art and science to attract prospective buyers, generate demand and enable sales success within an international market for a fast-growing and dynamic software organisation.

As Senior Field Marketing Manager, DACH, you will oversee the creation of the demand generation strategy and manage campaign execution to drive sales revenue. You are skilled in many marketing disciplines such as integrated campaign management, developing third-party marketing channel partnerships, executing local events, localizing web properties, creating response-oriented copy, CTA and conversion optimisation, lead nurturing, A/B testing, ABM, and more, and will own the associated metrics.

What You Will Do:

  • Strategically define, plan, deliver and optimise innovative, results-driven campaigns across Germany, Austria and Switzerland that use modern marketing concepts and best-of-breed solutions
  • Collaborate with other marketing team members to execute the campaign strategy and ensure alignment to business goals
  • Manage overall integrated DACH campaign execution and planning, outlining key marketing themes, messaging and overseeing the marketing mix throughout the year. This will include identification of appropriate marketing channels and potential marketing partnerships in the region
  • Define KPIs that are meaningful and measurable for the DACH business, and own demand generation goals: # MELs, # MQLs and Pipeline
  • Partner with BDR and account executive sales teams to ensure alignment of regional marketing and sales goals, enable sales success, maximise pipeline contribution and collaborate on overall go-to-market approach
  • Encourage testing, localisation and targeting of global programmes to improve conversion across the lead life cycle for all DACH countries
  • Measure, track and report on the effectiveness of activities and provide recommendations for future campaigns
  • Partner with Marketing Operations on the technical aspects of key marketing systems used to generate, distribute and report on demand generation programmes
  • Identify growth opportunities, where to optimise and areas for additional investment in time and money and where to decrease focus

What You Will Need:

  • A degree in business, marketing, economics or related fields
  • 8+ years creating and executing demand generation marketing campaigns, ideally for a software or technology company
  • Native or fluent German speaker
  • Strong experience and expertise in inbound and outbound marketing, including email and database marketing, event and digital marketing
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer value in everything you do, enabling you to see the bigger picture while executing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment; strong organisation and prioritisation skills are a must
  • Proven track record of executing integrated, multi-channel campaigns
  • Advanced experience with sales and marketing technologies including marketing automation tools (such as Marketo or Eloqua) and CRM systems (Salesforce.com)
  • A mindset for optimisation and testing, with a track record of constantly improving various programmes and testing new ways of executing
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an interest in analysing and translating data into actionable changes; must have the confidence to make informed decisions and act on them
  • A results-oriented mindset because marketing is an art and a science. You love understanding data, patterns and trends. You love the doing and the process behind it, but you are all about delivering meaningful results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds
