Job Title: Senior Estimator

Salary: £85,000 + company shares

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Company: The company is an award-winning leading provider of gas, electrical and building services to over 300,000 local authority and housing associations in London and the South East. It operates under four trading subsidiaries that benefit from combined service offering and operation efficiencies. The subsidiary this role relates to was founded in 1998 and has grown significantly in recent years to become one of the leading independent contractors in the South East, directly employing approximately 100 staff. This subsidiary has three office locations in Kent and East Sussex. The company is largely focused on providing services to the public sector housing market however it has long-term contracts with local authorities and housing associations.

Role Description: The company registered an annual turnover of approximately £60m last year and intends to grow that turnover contribution to £120million over the next three years. As Senior Estimator, you will be working within a team of commercial, technical, operational, and external partners and will be responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders for projects up to £20m in line with the company’s brand, position, and processes. You will be operating from their offices in Sittingbourne, Kent and will be working with a diverse range of clients from local authorities, social landlords & charities to private developers on a variety of work streams including Design & Build, Refurbishment & Term Maintenance across the South East of England.

Required Experience: To be considered for this position you will need to have a proven background estimating on jobs in the construction sector with knowledge of all forms of contract including traditional, partnering, design & build, 2 stage tenders and frameworks. It would also be beneficial to have experience using EValuate estimating software and knowledge of BIM, although these aren’t essential.

Remuneration: In exchange for your hard work and dedication, you will be remunerated with a competitive annual salary of up to £85,000 (based on experience) along with company shares and will be enrolled on the company bonus scheme. Additionally, you will receive 24 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays and will have an opportunity to work remotely for a portion of the week.
