Jonathan Lee Recruitment are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer for a company based in Cambridge who manufacture products that are designed to avoid wasting energy, improve process reliability and bring more innovation in industrial manufacturing, scientific and medical applicatio

The Electrical Design and PLC Engineer will be working within the Product Development group to deliver various high tech cutting edge industrial applications.

We are looking for a Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer to help develop the next generation of power supplies.

As Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical and electronic circuitry to support our manufacturing and systems development processes.

The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:

  • Lead electrical designs for new equipment.
  • Creation, modification, maintenance and management of electrical designs including proof of concept.
  • Provide electronic design support to our Custom Engineering team.
  • Liaise with sub-contract suppliers of electrical systems.
  • Support existing electrical equipment.
  • Work with other members of the Innovation and Engineering teams to create the next generation of xenon flashlamp systems.

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience of power electronic designs.
  • Fault-finding of electrical and electronic circuitry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent team player.
  • A willingness to travel and the ability to be flexible in the work you carry out and area you work in.
  • Attention to detail and a quality driven mentality.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with complex electromechanical systems.
  • Understanding of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and control panel design.
  • Use of EPlan Electric P8 software.
