You will join our Building Services department

As our new Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a highly dynamic team. Our Building Services team has a deep focus on technical delivery and an excellent understanding of client care. You will be an important part of a close-knit team working on a wide variety of project work in and around the south coast and London. There is also the opportunity to get involved in international signature projects if desired. We offer a supporting and collaborative culture and environment, in which you can develop and grow in your role. For the right candidate there is the opportunity to progress rapidly, with increasing client facing duties and mentoring of junior engineers and apprentices. Finally, we enjoy what we do! Your Key Tasks And Responsibilities Will Be

• Deliver sustainable design solutions to the required standards and supervise the work of others in this function
• Complete detailed designs and supervise the work of others in this function
• Manage time on projects to suit deadlines and complete their assigned tasks as stipulated by the Ramboll project manager
• Where you are the Ramboll project lead, co-ordinate the tasks so all deadlines are met and allocate resource appropriately
• Provide electrical design expertise
• Prepare bid and contract documentation
  

Your key deliverables over the first 12-24 months for this role will be:

• Maintain excellent levels of client service
• Help to develop and promote Ramboll’s multi-discipline capability in the local market
• Ensure Ramboll Q.A procedures are implemented
• Make a meaningful contribution to our technical excellence’ strategy
• Mentor and develop junior members of the team

• To be a qualified Engineer having a proven and demonstrable track record in your discipline
• To have a CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree, or an HNC in an applicable discipline with commitment to continue with higher education
• To have achieved or working towards CEng status
• To have an understanding of financial arrangements for projects including fee forecasting, fee preparation, and allocation
• Be accustomed to providing guidance to graduates and technicians, demonstrating your in-depth understanding of design engineering
• Have a proven ability to manage a number of projects at any one time
• Be forward thinking and passionate about digital design innovation and ‘smart design’ in an increasingly digitalized construction arena
• Demonstrate compliance in tools such as Amtech, Dialux, MagiCad, Revit
• Ideally you will have experience across different sectors such as Building Services Design, Site surveys & inspections, Snagging, Client & design team meetings
