The Magazine

AirMed&Rescue is a B2B publication focused on the airborne special missions sector – helicopter air ambulance operations, aerial firefighting, search and rescue and airborne law enforcement. Published since 2007, the magazine is read around the world in print and digital formats by leaders in the industry, both on the flight operations and medical sides of the sector. There are 11 issues per year and the magazine is in a glossy A4 format.

The Job

As Editor, you would be expected to write or otherwise source both short and long-form content for the magazine that needs to reflect the latest developments in the industry, whether this is about medical treatment of patients in flight, avionics systems, training, simulation technology or aircraft interior modifications. Speaking to experts in these fields and sourcing comments for features, conducting interviews and thought leadership articles will be a primary responsibility of the Editor. You would also be expected to attend events in the UK and internationally, where you would represent the brand and develop content ideas.

Working closely with the sales and marketing team is vital for a B2B magazine, so being able to work cohesively with other members of the company to understand the market and how to maximise our reach will be key to the role.

The job is busy, varied and exciting, with plenty of opportunity and scope for professional development. We are a small editorial team who take a lot of pride in our work, and are dedicated to ensuring our publications provide genuine market insights into, and analysis of, the industry they represent – all while made to look spectacular thanks to our in-house design team.

We have a hybrid work model, with a minimum three days a week in the office, with the rest of the time working from home.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
