In your role as a Domiciliary Care Support Worker, you will work alongside our care support team and registered manager, in providing a service supporting independence for individuals within their own homes in the local community. The service user will have either just been discharged from hospital care or it will be to prevent the individual from being placed into a care home environment, they may require assistance in dressing - bathing and toileting, medication provision, preparation of meals, wound dressing, and/or getting up - going to bed. You shall be ensuring delivery in all aspects of personal care are covered within a professional, safe, and timely manner, therefore the ability to work to a service user call rota, whilst being under pressure, and sometimes alone, whilst assuring reliability, efficiency, accuracy in record reporting, showing compassion, empathy and have time to listen to the service user, demonstrating excellent communication are essential skills for this role. We are also a Tier 2 work permit sponsor having established a good track record and have contracts to employ and place a large number of professionals into various services. Main Responsibilities:-Working to a service user booked call rota provided by our management / support team, by driving to the service users home address
  • Delivery in provision of ‘Personal Care’ to the service user by working to a detailed personalised care plan
  • Management in giving prescribed medication
  • Incontinence care, bathing and dressing
  • Meeting nutritional dietary needs by making meals the service user has chosen, at the times requested and detailed within the individuals personal care plan
  • Tissue viability checking, and wound dressing
  • Shopping for / or assisting the service user to integrate within the community Experience Required: Essential
  • Full driving license
  • Reliable, organised and meticulous, with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail in reporting information relating to the service users call
  • Ability to work independently (lone working) and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
