We are looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian with experience to work in a busy hospital environment cross-site at Orpington Hospital & Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) sites of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This demanding 1.0 WTE position carries a complex caseload as part of our Medical Team and has opportunities to work with other specialist Dietitians in areas such as Stroke, Critical Care and Gastroenterology. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team of Dietitians providing a professional nutrition and dietetic service to in-patients referred to the service. The post holder will be responsible for a varied caseload that includes 1a and 2b rehab patients at Orpington Hospital including Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease. Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington’s Disease, Motor Neurone Disease as well as Traumatic Brain Injury and Spinal Cord Injury. Elderly and frail patients will be covered on both sites. Cross-site working will help facilitate patient transfers and establishing protocols cross-site.

This means that we are working in close partnership with our dietetic colleagues at Guy’s & St Thomas’, South London and Maudsley and the academic department at King’s College London. Our mission is to deliver a world class service in clinical care, teaching and research. There over 50 dietetic staff in the department across all 3 sites: Denmark Hill, PRUH & Orpington hospitals. The department is heavily involved in student training and accepts students on placements 1, 2 and 3. This post would be expected to be involved in student training.

The department supports flexible working under the Kings flex system.
