Senior Developer – (Fully Remote)£55-£75KPermanent – Full TimeStart Date: ASAPWe are seeking a Senior Web Developer, to join our client’s team. You will be an integral part of the IT Development department, responsible for guiding technology decisions, mentoring junior staff and development and maintenance of our software solutions with a particular focus on web technologies such as React, Node.JS & Go.They are building a market-leading e-commerce platform for our members and other independent businesses to help them grow and compete in the online space.This is a great opportunity for a Senior Developer to join a growing team, working on a project from the ground up whilst growing in a supportive and inclusive environment.You will be someone enthusiastic. You are proactive, skilled and take a huge amount of professional pride in your work. You will, of course, fit well into the team, but you must be driven and able to work independently using your initiative.Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the technical design of new development projects
  • Responsible for development coding standards and quality assurance of code
  • Technical implementation of new development on a project basis
  • Responsible for improving systems to enable more efficient processes
  • Responsible for maintaining existing in-house platforms and updating them to modern standards
  • Responsible for ensuring all development projects are documented such that they can be operated and eventually administered by other technical staff, including appropriate policies and procedures
  • On-going ad-hoc training and mentoring of development staff
  • Senior escalation point for technical problems with in-house development code
  • Adherence to our policies and procedures, including, but not limited to all the relevant Information Security policies and procedures

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience of designing, building and architecting within JavaScript, ideally with React.js and/or node.js
  • Strong understanding of full-stack development lifecycle and Software Best Practices
  • Knowledge of analysis, design and architectural patternsJavaScript/TypeScript
  • A passion for programming in multiple languages
  • A ‘security first’ methodology in all work undertakenDesirable
  • Experience of Go/Golang
  • Experience of GraphQL
  • Experience of Google Cloud & Kubernetes
  • Computer Science graduate or similar experience
