Who are we looking for?

We are looking for Senior Developers, with ideally 4+ years of development experience, to work with us on our highly regarded, industry leading web platforms and applications across multiple products used in the renewable energy and sustainability industries. You will be working within our development team designing, coding, and maintaining systems used worldwide by some of the world’s leading corporations in our aim to make the world a more sustainable place to live.

We are a rapidly growing company in a highly accelerating market, with growth year on year of over 100% for the past 6 years and realistically ambitious plans for the next 10 years.

A typical day at Evident

• Designing and coding microservice applications within our current ecosystem of sub-systems.
• Designing an API wrapper around our sub-system applications to power our frontend apps.
• Optimising our existing applications to enhance quality, performance, and security, and to unlock further functionality.
• Exploring new technologies, proposing updates and upgrades aligned with development best practices and discussing with the team how we could integrate them into our applications.
• Communicating and assisting external software teams with integrating into some of our API systems.
• Supporting other members of the systems team with their coding and learning.
• Agile meetings with team.
• Code reviewing and testing code produced by other team members.
• Contributing to the planning and management of the development team and the projects we create.

Skills and experience which we are looking for:

• 2+ years’ experience with VueJS as a main framework (including VueJS 3).

Demonstrable knowledge of:

• ES6+ JavaScript, JSON.
• Front-end asset management (Npm, Webpack).
• HTML and CSS.
• UI and UX principles.
• Version control systems (Git).

Additional skills but not essential:

• Understanding of AWS Infrastructure.
• Experience using Docker and Dockerised environments for development and production.
• Experience using Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows.
• Designing and interfacing with REST APIs.
• Relational database technologies (PostgreSQL).
• Testing (including PHPUnit).
• Jira.
