Job Description

A Senior Data Manger has full end-to-end accountability for the Governance and stewardship of a nominated set of Experian’s data assets throughout their Data Lifecycle. A Senior Data Manager is to be considered the SME (subject matter expert) on all topics associated to those defined assets (incl. regulatory, legal, commercial, sourcing, processing, storing, quality & monetising) and demonstrates a personal commitment to the education and encouragement of world class Data Governance within the Experian organisation.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our data & supplier management standards are effectively measured and successfully met with a consistent focus on data integrity. You will ensure our product management teams are maximising the value of the data assets in a fully compliant way whilst supporting the creation of new and innovative solutions for clients and customers. As a Senior Data Manager you will become the authority for your nominated portfolio of data assets, championing a culture that achieves the business goals, delights customers and keeps consumer advocacy at the heart of everything that Experian does.

Qualifications

We are looking for self-starters that have demonstrable experience working with or managing data assets through the data lifecycle, with data management
  • Risk & issue management
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies (i.e. SAFe)
  • Data analysis
  • Data governance frameworks (incl. presenting at formal Data Governance asset reviews)
  • Tools & techniques for data mining
  • Defining data quality metrics & KPI’s
  • Ability to understand complex processes and identify improvements
The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of a Credit Reference Agency (CRA) and its services to the Financial Services Industry, its regulators (Financial Conduct Authority) and legislation (Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation) overseen by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
