Purpose of the role:

We are seeking a diligent, skilled, and experienced Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team. This role requires a deep understanding of complex information systems, networking protocols, and evolving threat landscapes. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality cybersecurity consultancy to our clients, including managing security initiatives from their inception to completion.

The successful candidate will provide consultancy services to new and existing clients on security architecture, improvement, management and remediation:

● Leading and project managing security reviews and compliance audits against industry best practice and widely-recognized standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, Cyber Essentials & PCI DSS.

● Producing threat assessments and gap analysis on existing architecture and generating roadmaps to improve.

● Maintaining an understanding of the cyber threat landscape facing our clients, and providing regular research and analysis.

● Contributing to continual efforts within the company to achieve excellence across all technical delivery outputs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert consultancy services to clients, including risk assessments, security audits, policy development, and strategic security planning.
  • Provide technical architecture design, implementation, and troubleshooting services in complex network environments.
  • Conduct comprehensive security audits and provide recommendations to strengthen clients’ security posture.
  • Monitor security alerts, incidents, and breaches, conduct investigations to determine their root cause, and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure client’s IT systems align with industry best practices and comply with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations.
  • Develop incident response plans and lead incident response teams during security breaches.
  • Provide training to client’s employees on security awareness and best practices.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field. Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications like CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CISA will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role in the cybersecurity field, preferably in a MSSP environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.
  • Familiarity with various network architectures, complex IT infrastructures, and an array of security tools.
  • Experience with incident response and digital forensics.
  • Strong understanding of emerging threats, vulnerability management, and security operations.
