Senior Credit Risk Analyst | S3 | CFO Country: United Kingdom

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our Central Functions team. In this high-profile role, you will be working with Finance and Risk teams understanding the results and drivers of credit and non-credit provisions reported on a monthly basis at an overall bank level as well as from a business unit and product perspective.

You’ll play a key role as centre of expertise for provisions within consolidated reporting being able to clearly articulate the key drivers and risks compared to forecast and budget developing strong relationships with key contacts at Risk, Finance teams, Planning and Economics teams.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Preparing monthly reports and management packs as a part of month-end reporting
  • Communicating with Finance and Risk teams to gain understanding of key drivers
  • Collaborating with Finance and Risk teams to help produce the quarterly and annual reports w.r.t to credit provisions disclosures, with high level of accuracy and timely delivery
  • Production of provisions analysis to demonstrate key trends and drivers to senior stakeholders
  • Reviewing and challenging assumptions used in production of Actual / Budget / Forecast results
  • Developing and enhancing existing reports, analysis and processes, as well as the production of new reports and analysis where necessary

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience of Management Accounting within Banking/Finance environment
  • Fully/Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA and/or experience and understanding of the of regulatory / accounting requirements applicable to role (IFRS9, IFRS7 & stress testing)

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to coach and mentor the analysts in the team
  • Previous exposure to the corporate banking business would be an advantage
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills

This permanent role can be based in Milton Keynes or Bradford and our current expectation is at least 2 days in an office every week.
