Primary Function

Excellent communication/organizational skills; extremely detail oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects, strong team orientation; ability to proactively communicate with individuals throughout the organization to obtain detailed information -- and push back as needed to ensure the quality/accuracy of the final product and that deadlines are met. Ability to work with senior management, troubleshoot as needed, quickly learn and apply new technologies, and train/mentor other writers. Must be motivated to produce the best product possible within a given time frame.

Major Duties And Responsibilities
  • Writes and edits boilerplate, customized proposals, and responses to complex RFP/RFI questionnaires for all of Cartus’ business units (ie: EMEA, APAC, iDSP, corporate tri-regional, UK domestic, Government etc).
  • Oversees final production and shipping of proposals to deadlines set.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Cartus products and competitive differentiation.
  • Supervises the day to day workload of the EMEA/APAC Corporate Writer team, reviewing drafts and final submissions, advising improvements and training/mentoring new writers as needed
  • Creates and maintains proposal language files and archives completed proposals promptly and correctly to ensure that other writers have access to current information.
  • Reviews and assesses workload required for incoming RFP’s and advises on suitable writer/time allocation
  • Provides ongoing expertise and support to Corporate Writer team
  • Completes weekly, monthly and ad hoc EMEA/APAC RFP reporting as required
  • Trains new and existing writers
  • Works to improve the quality of RFP’s and library text by updating records with SME’s, ensuring any response/text includes our key differentiators and win strategy front and centre.
  • Maintains and reviews team processes like Storyboarding and Win Strategies, advising improvements and executing as required
  • Works with all levels of Sales, Account Management and Senior Executives to ensure documents are strategic and customized
  • Supports other regions and/or market areas with proposals and/or writing projects.
  • Supports sales team in the transition from RFP to best and final presentation supporting any PPT requirements
  • Writes/edits all types of documents (white papers, industry trends/analysis, core marketing materials, story boards/video scripting, and award applications, certification applications and blog posts).
  • Support management with implementation of strategic team initiatives

Qualifications/Selection Criteria
  • University degree with at least 5 years of proposal writing experience required
  • Additional experience in proposal writing, editing, procurement, marketing communications or journalism preferred
  • Demonstrable writing, editing, organizational, and communication skills required
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Word 2009 or higher required
  • Previous experience with Qvidian or other proposal management software preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, required
  • Experience in relocation helpful
  • Experience in creative writing styles (story board, brochures, etc)
