How will you change it up?

As our senior continuous improvement field engineer, you will be leading targeted continuous improvement programs that focus on the identification and resolution of performance gaps within assigned area of the project. This role will be focusing on improving the delivery of our digital infrastructure network so a background in telecoms or utilities is a must. You will also be setting up the necessary technical framework to measure success of targeted continuous improvement programs and reports out to management. In addition to these primary responsibilities, your other duties include:

  • Directing and coordinating the identification and resolution of performance gaps and process problems within our fibre infrastructure builds
  • Leads interface with other functions in identification and resolution of performance gaps in assigned regions
  • Managing the technical activities within assigned area and associated to targeted continuous improvement programs across our network of Fibre Infrastructure builds
  • Preparing and checking implementation plans
  • Setting the report structure for reporting to Client and Senior Management within assigned field
  • Working closely with integrated Client team, subconsultants and subcontractors to identify opportunities for improvement

What will you bring to the role?

We are looking for an experienced individual who has extensive knowledge of continuous improvement within large-scale fibre infrastructure projects in a telecommunications or utility engineering environment. In addition to this, you will need to be experienced with working with colleagues at all levels of the business, including clients and external stakeholders. It is essential that you have a strategic understanding of Six Stigma and its application to the construction, Telecoms and/or utilities industry.

You will also need:

  • Experience of working with others as part of an integrated client team
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills and ability to document technical processes
  • Willingness and ability to travel to and remain at offices or jobsites in the U.K.

A Lean six sigma or Lean practitioner qualification would also be beneficial but not essential if you can evidence sustain experience in CI.
