We are looking for aSenior Design Engineer to be an effective part of a team of design engineers responsible for the scheme, design, testing and development stages of varied composite components within ourComposite Design group.Key skills: Good working knowledge and understanding of composite manufacturing techniques using pre-preg technology Be able to demonstrate an innovative and flexible approach to problem solving and possess the ability to work through problems in a scientific and analytical way. Be able to progress multiple projects concurrently from concept stage and onwards. Be able to integrate quickly into existing teams and be actively involved in many aspects of each department. Have excellent communication and analytical skills and be able to work to tight deadlines & under pressure. Possess commitment and proven reliability, being keen to deliver high quality schemes and designs for deadline driven tasks. To successfully manage issue resolution throughout projects by providing practical and achieving solutions arising from race, test and development Be able to proactively participate in developing, implementing and improving design concepts Be able to define project scope and report accurately progress Be able to mentor junior engineers and student placements to ensure constructive development is achievedA ll applicants must have: A good quality degree in Mechanical, Automotive or Motorsport Engineering. At least one year’s experience (at undergraduate of post graduate level) working within a high-level motorsport environment. Some experience of a modern 3D CAD system (preferably 3DX/ CATIA)This role will be based at our new campus in Silverstone full time
