We’re seeking an experienced Senior Communications Manager with a passion for internal communications to support the delivery of our One Team, Best Care strategy and ambitions.

We’re seeking a confident, experienced and strategic communicator, who can build effective relationships across our Trust.

As an integral part of the corporate communications team, you will be responsible for a wide range of projects and initiatives and will lead on internal communications, and oversee digital communications and graphic design.

You’ll be adept at communications, confident to engage with a range of audiences and able to provide specialist and professional advice on complex communications issues and projects.

Working with senior members of the team, you will ensure corporate communications activities reinforce the Trust’s values and delivers a programme of high quality and effective plans and initiatives.

A positive ‘can do’ attitude is imperative as you’ll be working in a busy environment with multiple priorities and will need to respond quickly and professionally to a wide range of stakeholders.

Team-working is vital to achieving positive outcomes and you’ll be expected to work closely with colleagues in the department and across all services.

Experience of working in a large and complex organisation is essential as we are a large and busy emergency service.

This role will ensure the Trust delivers a strategic integrated communications plan, that engages with internal audiences and develops and manages a range of communications channels.

With responsibility for managing internal communications activities and associated communication channels, you will develop creative and innovative approaches to communications, ensuring staff are fully engaged in the work of the organisation.

You will need to have:

  • an excellent standard of written and interpersonal communication skills
  • knowledge and experience of a wide range of communications channels
  • a flexible and calm approach
  • great organisational and team-working skills.

Digital communications will be a focus and as part of your role you’ll help to drive the development of internal and external digital channels including our intranet. You will develop ways to engage with a dispersed workforce and those who are working remotely.
