Job description

I’m looking for a skilled communications pro to take the reins for a 12-month FTC (maternity cover) at a long-established global fire safety and security solutions business based in the UK.

Headquartered in the UK, this household brand has approximately 13,000 employees globally with a footprint in 17 countries serving more than 1.5 million customer sites in Asia Pacific, Canada and Europe. The business was recently acquired and is now in a period of rapid transformation.

In this role, you’ll have day-to-day responsibility for global external communications with a foot in employer brand development & awareness, media relations, strategy, crisis comms and executive profile. You’ll also need to identify & target key influencers in relevant markets and be instrumental in defining the organisation’s digital strategy both globally & locally.

Working with a small Comms team and a global Marketing function, it’ll be down to you to ensure global messaging for this household name is delivered brilliantly at a local level. As such, some solid communications experience gained in or for a global organisation would be particularly helpful. You’ll also be skilled at managing international PR & digital agencies and feel completely at home building meaningful relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives & leadership.

Reporting to the Director of Customer Solutions & Innovation based in Europe, this role will also provide an opportunity for some business travel in the UK and on the continent, particularly France.

In addition, although the role is fully hybrid, you’ll also need to spend a day or so a week at the firm’s offices in Ashford, Middlesex.
