Main duties of the job

We are seeking an enthusiastic experienced Clinical Psychologist to join a well-established integrated learning disability service for children.

The role will involve directly supporting families as well as developing and contributing to the planning and development of the service. There is an expectation to provide expert guidance and case supervision to other members of the service as well as providing training and learning opportunities in the area of disability.

The post holder will join the team on a full-time 37.5 hours per week permanent basis and will work alongside local authority colleagues to provide support and therapeutic intervention to children with disabilities and their families.

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate well with professionals from other disciplines are important.

The post holder will be expected to utilise research skills for audit, policy, service development and research within the area served by the service.

There is a strong link with the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme and there will be opportunity to provide clinical placements on an ongoing basis.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
