Sussex CAMHS is at the beginning of a crucial and innovative expansion, which will see substantial growth in a variety of teams across Brighton and East & West Sussex.As part of this expansion we have funding to recruit to a number of new posts in our Neurodevelopmental pathway, providing CAMHS support for young people and their carers.
If you are a Clinical Psychologist, with a drive and motivation to support young people living with neurodevelopmental problems, then our Band 8a Psychologist position may be the role for you! Full and part time will be considered with opportunities for a job share.
This post is part of a wider, established MDT, dedicated to providing a high-quality ASC service that complements the work of our wider CAMHS colleagues.
You will join our local Psychology and Psychological Therapies (PPT) group, contributing to our innovation and commitment to ongoing service improvement and compassionate care. You will also join an established group of Psychologists.
As part of the Sussex CAMHS team, you will join the other MDT colleagues in providing ASC assessments, formulation, individual and group interventions and consultation .
In this clinical leadership role, you will have supervision responsibilities for Band 7 Clinical Psychologists, Trainees, Assistant Psychologists, Psychology Undergraduates and other colleagues as appropriate.
You will work closely with our Band 8c Clinical Psychologist and Locality Manager and will receive high standards of supervision including secondary supervision packages in CBT, EMDR, DBT, ASC and group work.
Our CAMHS teams are involved in a number of innovative audit and evaluation projects, running groups such as parent/ carer anxiety groups and DBT, and providing training to PsychD courses and the SPFT New to CAMHS training.
We provide mental health and learning disability care for children, young people and adults across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.
