We are a looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with a background in residential developments to work from a Derby office.

As a Senior Civil Engineer you will have a background that includes a minimum 2:1 BEng or MEng degree in Civil or Structural engineering, and be near to or recently chartered with the ICE or IStructE.

The right person for this Senior Civil Engineer role will have a minimum of 5-6 years relevant experience in civil/infrastructure UK consultancy engineering. You will need to have a driving licence and use of your own car for site visits and meetings, and must be able to manage your own workload efficiently and flexibly to achieve required deadlines whilst maintaining quality.

Your experience in working on residential developments should include the production of - and gaining approval for - S38, S278 and S104 packages. A clear understanding of current design standards for both roads and drainage including local authority, national and regulatory guidance and planning policy will be required.

Proficient in the use of MicroDrainage (or Causeway Flow), along with Causeway PDS and/or Civil 3D and will be required.

You will be responsible for the design and delivery of multiple projects at various stages from conception through to completion at both a local and national level, and will need to be skilled in Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy report writing as well as Cut and Fill ground modelling and Production of Site Appraisals.

The role will include regular contact with clients, other design team members and attendance at meetings.

Salary dependant on experience, permanent candidates only no contractors considered.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
