A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head Chef to join our team!

The Medicine Tap is a quirky bar and first class restaurant within the heart of Rochdale. Once a former post office, this grade II listed building has been restored and completely renovated to offer the finest in quality food and drink. We are a brewpub, bar and restaurant with an array of ales, fine wines and tempting dishes.

We have been open for 3 years and certainly in our infancy, yet we have made a huge dent within the local hospitality sector in building a reputation for excellent quality, efficient service, food presentation and superb taste, creating that perfect ’going out’ experience!

What we are looking for from you

We are looking for an experienced friendly and approachable Head Chef to join our kitchen team.

A minimum of 2 years experience working in a Head Chef Role and in possession of food safety level 3

Proven ability to work on your own in a busy kitchen environment and work under pressure

Ability to supervise and lead a kitchen team, creating motivation to produce results in your absence

Following appropriate safety guidelines and hygiene standards

A commitment to nurture, train and develop the kitchen brigade

Menu development to GP’s requirements

To show confidence, alertness, attention to detail and a willingness to work with restaurant staff
