Bankfield Care Home has an exciting opportunity for a caring and motivated Senior Day Care Assistant to join their team. One 30-40 hour per week position at Bankfield Residential Care Home, (BL9 9HQ).
- 47 bed home
- Care: Elderly residential care
- 30-40 Contracted hours per week
- £9.20 to £9.50 per hour
You may be wondering, what will a normal shift look like?
Within the role, you will support and direct dedicated staff to achieve positive care outcomes. With the support of senior management, you will ensure the smooth running of the home. Whilst also partaking in improvements to care and supporting senior management to launch new initiatives at the home. Every day will be different, so you can expect to undertake work that is varied as it is rewarding. You will be able to build good working relationships with colleagues and meaningful relationships with service users.
You will have the added benefit and choice of future progression and training.
What are we looking for?
- NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or above
- At least 3 year’s care home experience
- Prior experience as a senior or shift leader
- Experience of caring for service users with residential or dementia needs
What does the role involve?
- Administering prescribed medication
- Liaising with healthcare professionals and social services
- Supervision of care assistants
- Ensuring the health and wellbeing of service users
- Reviewing daily reports and care planning
- Working within our team of managers and seniors to ensure the smooth running of the home
- Shifts between 8am and 8pm
