The company also successfully launched its own Private Label cosmetics and skincare in 2018 which is developed and curated inhouse.

About the role

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our Private Label team. As Senior Buyer you will be excited by the opportunity of building the Brand architecture, developing an in-depth knowledge of the Market place, sourcing own brand products from Global and UK suppliers, developing the retail pricing structure and assuming overall responsibility for the availability of Private Label product portfolio.

What will you be doing

• Close collaboration with key stakeholders such as NPD, Marketing and Procurement to ensure we deliver products on time and to the agreed launch plans
• Clearly understand the Market pricing dynamics
• Ensure the product range/s is in line with the most up to date market trends as well as anticipating and responding effectively to emerging competitor and customer activity
• Develop existing suppliers as well as identifying new buying channels.
• Develop and implement Product and Buying strategies for the Beauty Bays Private Label range of products
• Negotiate optimum product costs with suppliers keeping in mind margin and price points
• Liaise with NPD and Merchandising teams to identify future commercial opportunities
• Liaise with NPD team to set clear quality criteria for products, ensuring the optimal balance between quality and price
• Regularly review own label products against relevant competitor benchmarks
• Undertake range reviews to maximise performance
• Deliver or exceed budgeted margin, sales and profit targets.
• Ensure Private Label products & ingredients are compliant, meeting relevant legal, compliance & ethical standards

About you

• A strong commercial / buying background with the ability to engage with confidence at all levels and drive sales and profitability
• Experience in a fast-paced online Retail environment with experience of Beauty / Cosmetics Buying
• Well organised with the ability to act and adapt quickly, managing multiple priorities and meet agreed timelines
• Able to handle a pressurised working environment
• Sound analytical & financial skills
• Excellent communication skills, confident negotiator and able to form strong professional relationships
• You will bring bags of energy, have the ability to influence stakeholders and bring them round to your way of thinking so a win-win can be achieved
• Managing a team will also be something you enjoy, and you will have previous experience coaching and developing more junior team members
