Purchasing Manager

    My client is a solid and successful growing UK Manufacturer who are looking to recruit an experienced buyer to join the team.

    We are looking for an experienced Purchasing manager / technical buyer with management experience with a good track record and experienced with a technical background in electronics or PCBs or engineered manufactured products.

    The environment is friendly and busy so someone who is self-motivated, structured and team player mentality is essential.

    Responsibilities Include

    Support the Materials Manager in all aspects of sourcing, buying and staff management

    Manage supplier relationships

    Develop and implement a sourcing strategy for specific commodities

    Project manage assigned sourcing projects including companywideNPI projects

    Manage the quotation process ensuring quotations are received on time.

    Manage supplier pricing, negotiation, cost models and key cost drivers.

    To be a constant driver for cost reduction, continuous improvement and innovation within the business

    Supplier selection / validation

    Technical & Commercial authority for assigned commodities

    Essential / Preferred

    Electronics qualification such as Degree, HND/HNC or similar
