A brand new opportunity has become available for a Senior Business Analyst to join the Chief Finance Office based in Chester. The GBAM Finance Technology, Data and Strategic Initiatives (TDSI) team works closely with partners in Finance, Technology Operations and Front Office organizations to manage and drive a number of strategic Finance projects across all products and businesses.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • This role will assist with the strategic development of our subledger infrastructure and how it operates within the framework of the GL:
    • Initial responsibilities will include analysis of how the subledgers including Finman, BUCS and GANE interact with the GL and identification of opportunities to improve this using the full capabilities of Oracle cloud
    • This will include opportunities to eliminate overly complex, operationally risky and inconsistent processes
The Team:

The GBAM Finance Technology, Data and Strategic Initiatives (TDSI) team works closely with partners in Finance, Technology Operations and Front Office organizations to manage and drive a number of strategic Finance projects across all products and businesses.
  • The team operates both globally and regionally with regional presence in EMEA, US, APAC and a GBS organisation
  • Strategic development is managed globally with engagement across all regions with teams staffed across regions that are able to engage directly with impacted end user and Technology teams
  • Senior members of the team will have interaction with the GBAM Finance Senior Leadership Team, their peers in other CFO organisations and equivalents in Risk and Operations
  • The team expanded to Chester to align with the extensive BFC presence there in 2021
Core Skills:
  • Globally at all levels of the organisation analyzing business processes, including implementing improvements to business process around BAML financial systems for finance and operations functions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across multiple business levels to define requirements and deliver solutions and influence buy in.
  • Exposure to end to end implementation projects for finance initiatives impacting systems such as Oracle, BUCS and Finman involving system and process change.
  • Experience of leading and managing work stream deliverables
  • Candidate needs to be comfortable in interfacing to a cross-section of groups at various levels, including Finance, Operation, Front Office and Technology teams
  • Competencies
  • Preferable experience or understanding in SQL type platform
