Senior Business Analyst - Permanent - Hybrid (Guildford Office)

Purpose of the Role:

The successful Business Consultant will work on a number of internal and client based digital projects and programmes in a variety of team/ budget sizes. The role will involve working closely with stakeholders to work on a broad range of projects including the development of business strategy, business analysis, process mapping, business cases and operating models, organisation design and cultural change.

As well as working with both internal and external teams, this role will also work alongside other experienced and talented Business Consultants in an established and professional team.

We expect the Business Consultant to :

• Take ambiguous and complex business problems and using research and business assessment capabilities, define the problem, drive innovative ideas, define the opportunity set, and recommend actionable next steps.
• Bring rigour to a client’s decision making process by performing detailed analysis, presenting and evaluating solution options, and driving consensus among key stakeholders.
• Define, scope and plan new solutions for clients. This includes determining how to measure business results, modeling current/future business processes, gathering business requirements and identifying the organisational, cultural and operational changes required to successfully realise the benefits of the solution.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years as a Business Consultant / Analyst
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders effectively
• Managing key tracks of work (including other individuals) in accordance with established budget, work plans and quality standards
• Develop and apply conceptual frameworks and analytical approaches across People, Process and Technology streams
• A proven track record working in an Agile methodology
• Excellent knowledge and experience of using of Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence or Rally
• Experience in business analysis techniques in eliciting requirements via workshops and prototyping
• Experience of working with digital teams and strong understanding of digital design, customer journeys and user experience led projects
• Excellent communicator who works well with technology, digital and business professionals
• Ability to understand, communicate, and manage the impact of transformation across the entire project lifecycle
• Creativity with an eye to developing new and innovative solutions
• Strong problem identification and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively interact with senior clients
• Experience leading primary and secondary research & analysis
• Ability to structure and plan projects
• Experience with process mapping and process redesign and organisation design
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to create & deliver clear, powerful & concise presentations/proposals
• Support business development activities including client proposals
• Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio

Desirable:

• Agile certification (SAFe)
• Experience of delivering projects for Financial Services clients
• Experience of managing small team of business analysts
• Broad knowledge of digital trends and relevance to a single or multiple industries
