An excellent opportunity for someone to join a forward thinking and fast growing company based in West Lothian.

You will be required to manage all aspects of book-keeping and financial records for a portfolio or designated clients in an efficient, accurate and effective manner. Support the rest of the team to meet both internal/external bookkeepng/financial support needs.

Main duties and responsibilities: -
Managing all aspects of bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients including: -

Preparing monthly management account including monthly journals for accruals and prepayments
Processing sales and purchase ledger invoices
Preparing and submitting VAT returns including partial exemption calculations
Main point of contact for clients, HMRC and auditors
Ensuring our external systems for membership and event income are reconciled to the accounting system
Preparation of monthly payroll
Prepare Year End accounts to TB and complete supporting audit file
Ability to drive and implement process improvements and change
Work as part of the Finance Team to provide excellent bookkeeping services

Skills/Knowledge
Part Qualified with ACCA/ACA or a minimum of 4 years of experience in a UK based accountancy practice
Experience of managing a portfolio of clients
Proficient in Sage Line 50 and similar accounting systems
Experience of preparing and submitting VAT returns
Strong Excel Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for communicating with non-financial professionals.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and tight deadlines

You will be predominantly office based, although may be required to attend occasional offsite client meetings.
