/Position:Senior Airworthiness Engineer

/Location:Burgess Hill

/Reporting To:Head of Aviation Projects

/Working Hours:Full-time, 40 hours per week

Reporting directly to the Head of Aviation projects, the Senior Airworthiness Engineer is an integral contributor to the continuing airworthiness team. The Senior Airworthiness Engineer ensures provision of continuing airworthiness activities to meet regulatory requirements, support owner/operator, and liaise effectively with the appointed CAMO and 145 organisations to conducts Airworthiness Reviews/CofAs and provide guidance and training to other team members.

/ Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out aircraft physical and technical records inspections as requested
  • Act as a focal point of communications with Customers
  • Act as the technical representative/manager for aircraft delivery/redelivery on behalf of FlyerTechs customers as required
  • Represent FlyerTech Ltd and their customers during on site aircraft surveys and technical records inspections including those with National Aviation Authorities
  • Carry out management of associated travel arrangements including hire car and accommodation for allocated aircraft audit requirements
  • Carry out management of personal and company monies to ensure all expense claims are rapidly and accurately reported following their return from aircraft audits including the control of expense receipts
  • Management of the Production of Aircraft Reports in line with the customer and FlyerTechs requirements
  • Act as an ARC Signatory under the approval of the UK CAA and FlyerTech to ensure the production and control of ARC Reports to ensure they meet set deadlines
  • Control and update of the FlyerTech Recharge Tools for all projects undertaken including expenses and man hours used
  • Act as a deputy to the ARP Technical Manager in his absence
  • Co-ordinate customer inspections
  • Control and management of customer open issues to ensure timely closure
  • Carry out all other duties that are reasonably requested
/ Skills, Qualifications And Experience Required
  • A Part 66 Licence or an equivalent accepted Aviation Engineering Degree or 10 years experience in Continuing Airworthiness Management (CAW)
  • Acceptable to the Authorities for approval to hold a Form 4 for ARC privileges
  • Experience on the conduct of Certificate of Airworthiness Issues/Renewals under various jurisdictions
  • Good working knowledge of Part M / 145 / IOMAR / OTAR regulations and its application to Continuing Airworthiness (CAW)
  • Comprehension and assessment of OEM and regulatory data as relates to CAW and its application to an aircraft maintenance program and records review
  • Self-motivating individual able to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines in an efficient manner
  • Developed analytical and investigative skills, maintaining accuracy and output
  • Effective written & verbal communicator, pro-active team member
