An exciting opportunity for a Finance Coordinator with experience of payroll and accounts to work at this highly innovative technology business. The post holder will be the first point of contact for all payable queries and be responsible for processing end to end payroll for staff, other duties include book- keeping/accounts, Xero bank reconciliations, making sundry and single payments along with other expenses. The successful candidate will have the ability to work accurately and quickly, have good communication skills and a broad range of IT skills including Microsoft Excel. Word and have experience with online accounting application such as Xero. Main duties of the job The key focus of this post will be entering data into the Finance System (Xero), production of budget reports from the general ledger, investigation of variances against plan, and implementing any adjustments required to income, expenditure and budgets. To assist the Commercial Director with regular reviews and gather intelligence to support reporting and inform the budget/planning process. The key skills required are those for interrogating all the various sub-systems of the ledger and having a good working knowledge of the basic accounting principles involved. The role will also involve responding to ad-hoc queries from the company directors relating to finance/accounting. This role entails interaction with a variety of stakeholders therefore good team skills with clear and concise communication to non-finance people is necessary. Job responsibilities This is a new role with the main purposes of the role to coordinate all aspects of finances, optimising efficiency, and financial performance to ensure long-term strategic objectives are achieved. The job holder will be instrumental in the team and will support both the Commercial Director and Financial Director.   • Knowledge of preparing and running monthly payroll
  • Sound financial information including knowledge of tax and legislation
  • Experience with reconciliation
  • Experience with invoices and ledgers
  • Experience of being the main point of contact for all finance related matters
  • Analysis experience
  • Confident user of excel and Xero
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • An organised and methodical approach to work
