Calling all experienced SEND Tutors! An exciting tutoring position has become available in a wonderful education centre in Sutton supporting SEND students.

Please note this is an in-person tuition position only.

Job description

We are looking for SEND tutors who are passionate about delivering excellent teaching to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Flexible hours and days are available.

Requirements for applicants:

  • Excellent behaviour management skills and have a proven track record of excellent teaching.
  • Driven by working with children and parents. Interested in education - energetic and enthusiastic.
  • A team player, keen to bounce ideas with other staff members and support them where necessary.
  • We require that all of our tutors hold a valid enhanced DBS certificate and undergo our fill safer recruitment process. For more information on this process, please feel free to reach out to us.
  • Relevant experience tutoring SEND students with a specialism supporting in either KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 [please specify in your application].

Responsibilities:

  • One to one sessions with SEND students
  • Behaviour management
  • We are looking for someone who is patient and will be engaged with the children.
  • Plan and evaluate the sessions.
  • You’ll display patience and empathy if a child is struggling and will be able to explain learning concepts he/she may have yet to grasp with full clarity.

Supplemental pay types:

COVID-19 considerations:
Our tutors deliver sessions in the student’s home or online depending on the clients preference. The majority of tutoring is currently face to face, we expect this trend to continue. Applications are preferred from tutors based in the area we serve.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (preferred)

Experience:

  • SEND tutoring: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • DBS check (preferred)
