Smile Leadership Ltd are currently seeking to represent an experienced primary SENCO for a Coventry based setting, West Midlands (CV3) area. This role is offered on either a part-time or full time, interim basis to start from January 2023 offering flexible working days. If you are an experienced SENCO who has worked within a primary setting and are either local to or available to travel to the Coventry area, West Midlands area, we would like to hear from you. Smile Leadership Ltd is a sister company to Smile Education who are a leading education recruitment agency.The core purpose of this role is to support and work alongside the senior leadership team to support all pupils with SEND. As a SENCO, you’ll be an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs. Working closely with the head teacher and other senior colleagues, you’ll use your leadership skills to manage provision in your school and to provide support to other teachers. Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering interventions with pupils in the classroom and implementing the school strategy. You may also have classroom teaching duties and could be liaising with staff members across multiple schools within the trust. The pay rate for this role is between £200-£250 per day (up to £46,800 annual salary equivalent) depending on experience. If you hold the national SENCO qualification this would be beneficial but is not a necessity. The Headteacher is open to meeting candidates with substantial experience in place of the qualification. The school are also open to meeting applicants who are looking for either full time or part time working patterns.To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:-Hold the national SENCO qualification
  • Ideally have knowledge of Birmingham, West Midlands LA procedures
  • Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils with SEND
