SEN Teacher Edwinstowe, Nottingham £28,000 - £38,810 + SEN allowance Our client, a leading provider of Education and Care for children and young adults are looking to appoint a Teacher to their school in Edwinstowe, Nottingham. The school caters for SEND Children and Young People aged 9-17. The children have a variety of needs including, social and emotional mental health difficulties (SEMH), autism (ASC), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), attachment needs, childhood trauma or/and other specific learning difficulties. Our client, along with their workforce, have extremely high standards of care and as such place the children at the heart of everything they do, and the motivation is to give them the best possible future, which every child deserves. Specific Duties: Assist in maintaining a positive culture encouraging the development of SEN curriculum Prepare and deliver lessons to meet the needs of SEN pupils. Produce and develop high quality teaching and learning materials using a variety of methods Any other duties consistent with the general responsibilities of the post as may be required from time to time in addition to those listed above. Be happy to teach cross-curricular What We’re Looking For: QTS or QTLS Experience with SEN pupils Ability to identify and support learners with differing needs Ability to manage diverse groups of learners in varying environments Ability to encourage learners and promote the importance of education Effective communication skills and the ability to develop professional relationship boundaries with children and parent/carers. Enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility to move educational success forward across the school The successful candidate is required to provide references and will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
