Job Title: 1:1 SEN Support Worker
Location: Dewsbury, Kirklees
Salary: £80-£100 per day

Contract Type: Long-term, ASAP start

Job Description:

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with learning difficulties? We are seeking a 1:1 SEN Support Worker to provide invaluable assistance to a student at a primary school in Leeds. This is a long-term position with an immediate start date, offering a competitive daily rate of £80-£100.

As a 1:1 SEN Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping a student with learning difficulties access their education and reach their full potential. Your patience, empathy, and commitment will make a significant difference in the life of the student you support.

Key Responsibilities:

Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one support to a student with learning difficulties, tailoring your assistance to their specific needs.

Academic Assistance: Assist the student with their academic work, helping them understand and complete assignments.

Behavioural Support: Implement behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.

Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the school’s SENCO, teachers, and parents/guardians.

Progress Monitoring: Track and report the student’s progress, highlighting areas for improvement.

Personal Care: When required, provide personal care and support to ensure the student’s well-being.Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is preferred.

Understanding of different learning difficulties and strategies to support them.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Empathy, patience, and a nurturing attitude.

The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

A commitment to promoting the inclusion and well-being of students with SEN.
