About the Company

Based in Middlesbrough close to the Town Centre, APC Accountancy Limited provide a comprehensive accounting and business advisory service to a portfolio of clients across a wide range of different industries and sectors.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Semi-Senior Accountantto join our team on a full-time /permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who is as passionate as we are about providing an excellent service to our varied and growing portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities

You will take responsibility for delivery of accounts and other services to an assigned portfolio of clients, to include (but not limited to):

· Preparation of financial statements (mainly limited companies, sole traders, partnerships)

· Tax computations and return preparation

· Bookkeeping

· VAT return preparation

· Assisting payroll department and other business admin functions as may be required

· Other adhoc projects/support which may be required from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

With minimum 2 years practice experience, and specifically experience of the above, you will have:

· Excellent organisation and time management skills – consistent in working to targets and time frames

· Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to convey complex information

· A positive “can do” attitude and a commitment to delivering a first-class customer service

· Experience of accounting systems such as Sage 50, Sage Business Cloud Accounting, Xero would be preferable

· Knowledge of IRIS Accounts production and Business Tax desirable

· AAT Qualified, or part AAT qualified with the ability to demonstrate strong experience within a practice environment

· Good technical knowledge
