Join De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester as Security Systems Administrator.

The role of the Security Systems Administratoris to maintain and administer the university’s Salto Space access control system and produce staff ID cards. The Security Systems Administrator will also maintain aspects of other security systems such as the Avigilon CCTV system, the key Traka system, the Security incident management system, and the Security Bodycam system. The successful candidate will work directly with the universities Security System Officer and must be confident working with a variety of stakeholders across the university in a constantly changing environment. This role is office hours Monday – Friday 8-4 pm and is based on campus.

The ideal candidate will be personable and be able to demonstrate strong multi-tasking skills whilst maintaining attention to detail, and the ability to contribute to the wider strategic development of our operations. You will have excellent team working, communication and organisational skills.

With the ability to build effective relationships at all levels. In addition, you must be a strong team player who can analyse and prioritise your own workload to meet challenging deadlines. You will be expected to be flexible and react quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining a high level of service at all times. The department

The Estates & Facilities Directorate is large and diverse, employing about 300 people, ranging from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, cleaners, porters, and leisure centre assistants to property management professionals, architects, project officers, CAD, space management, sustainability and energy and administrative personnel.

The Security team sits within Estates & Facilities with the primary objective of providing a safe and secure environment for all staff, students, and authorised visitors. The Security team is made up of 50 team members and is open 24/7 with a wide variety of roles such as Building Attendants, Security Officers, Investigations, Team Leaders, and more.
