About The Opportunity

We currently are looking to recruit a Court Security officer, to join our Secure Infrastructure team. This is a fantastic role for someone with excellent Communication skills, service ethic and a passion and interest for working within a busy environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position based at North Somerset Magistrates Court, BS22 7BB.

Working pattern will include; Monday 08:00 - 18:00 and Tues - Fri 08:00 - 17:30 totalling 48 hours (overtime on adhoc Saturdays available)

We are offering an hourly rate between £9.60 - £10.15 for this role plus a range of Amey benefits.

Occasional cover to be provided at Bristol Magistrates Court as and when required.

What will this role involve?
  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and client
  • Conducting searches and confiscation of prohibited items
  • Physical intervention
  • Entering details in the occurrence book and logging incidents
  • Conducting patrols
  • Acting as incident warden on behalf of our clients and management thus supporting the wider Secure Infrastructure team.
What are we looking for?
  • Experience working with security industry and a valid SIA Part 1 licence essential.
  • First Aid qualified, essential.
  • Experience operating CCTV and a valid SIA Part 2 CCTV operator licence desirable.
  • Customer focused, with a strong service ethic.
  • Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Computer literate, desirable
