The Role – Security Officer SIA Badge x 32hours

AM Services Group is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our Security Team at our client’s retail shopping centre in Wakefield City Centre

This is a Permanent Full-Time position of 32 hours per week earliest start would be 8am, latest finish would be 7.30pm with the option of overtime to cover holidays and sickness

Duties/Key Responsibilities

To provide professional security services to our client, maintaining the security and safety of their premises and people by ways of monitoring, patrolling and surveying the building and their assets.

• You must be flexible and able to work in a multi-service team and can work under your own initiative.
• Complete daily security tasks, including use of client software CCTV systems in the control room
• Carry out routine patrols on site
• Key Holder - Locking and unlocking premises
• Take accurate notes to complete reports, logbook entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard - including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
• Liaison with local authorities including police, emergency healthcare services or even fire extinguishers in case of an emergency
• Assist in deterring crime within the centre
• Operating telephone switchboard
• Carry out any reasonable task requested by the client or Manager, if you are trained to do so.
• Work closely with the Contract Manager to ensure that AM Support Services offers an exceptional customer service at the highest standards

Skills Required

• Valid SIA Front Line SG/DS Licence
• CCTV experience is ideal but not essential
• 1st Aid at Work Cert preferred but not essential
• You will need to evidence your honesty and reliability and always maintain a sense of pride in your professionalism in delivering excellent customer service.
• Be able to access, control and manage a large crowd of people efficiently and quickly.
• Provide full 5-year UK checkable work history
• Experience in a similar retail security role is ideal
