Hourly rate of pay: £9.50 per hour

Weekly hours: Average of 42 hours.

Roster: 4 on 4 off both days and night shifts.

Hours day shift: 0600-1800hrs

Hours Night Shift: 1800-0600hrs

Holidays: 20 days annual holidays (guards to cover holidays)

Job Title: Guest Safety Officer (Security Officer)

Job Purpose: To ensure that effective security operational tasks are employed within the clients’ premises, to protect the client’s property, staff and customers.

Job Description: The role of the Security Officer is wide and varied and is to be in accordance with the site Assignment Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures. Of paramount importance for all Security Guards is the attitude towards the following:

c. Smart Appearance

d. Polite and Helpful

General Duties:

• All Guest Safety Officers are to have a clear understanding of their operating environment within the clients’ grounds and premises and understand any specific threat that may impact on the security, safety and welfare of employees, visitors and contractors.

• All Security Officer are to be fully compliant with the conduct and standards expected from Andron and its clients. The Security Officer plays a vital role in maintaining the corporate image by fulfilling their duties in a professional manner and ensuring that their appearance and conduct is in keeping with the standards expected.

• Manned Guarding: Guest Safety Officers are to deter unauthorised access, trespass, theft, vandalism, damage, loss through negligence, fire, flood, breaches of health and safety or confidentiality. .

• Security Officers are to be licensed through the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and trained to that standard.

• Key Holding:Guest Safety Officers will provide a professional key holding service being the custodian of the clients premises.

• Access Control: Guest Safety Officers are responsible to control adequately ingress and egress to the clients premises and to ensure that there is no unauthorised access by individuals into the premises.

• Patrolling: Guest Safety Officers are to conduct internal and external patrols to provide a physical presence, to deter, detect and delay unauthorised entry, trespass, theft, vandalism, damage, loss through negligence, fire, flood, breaches of health and safety or confidentiality.

• CCTV Monitoring: Guest Safety Officers are to carry out CCTV Monitoring to assist the client in providing the secure and safe running of the premises and their personnel.

• Alarm Monitoring: Guest Safety Officers are to be aware of what alarm indications mean and what actions they are to carry out during various alarm conditions.

• Fire Alarm Activation: Guest Safety Officers must be fully conversant with and practiced in all procedures in response to incidents of accident and personal injury. All security personnel should be first aid trained and thoroughly trained in emergency evacuation procedures and how to react in the event of fire, bomb, terrorist and any other threat that may arise.

• Incident Management: Guest Safety Officers are to be fully conversant with all incident management procedures.

• Lost and Found Property: Guest Safety Officers are to provide a service for receiving lost property and ensuring its security, recording and return or appropriate disposal following procedures agreed with the client.

• Building Lock Up and Open Up procedures: All Guest Safety Officers are to be fully conversant with building lock up and open up procedures.
