Hours:40 hours per week, shift work, any 5 days from 7

Haydock Park is looking to recruit a Security Officer to assist with the security requirements at the Racecourse.


Role summary

You will undertake a range of duties in support of the security requirements for the racecourse, ensuring that the locking and unlocking routines are carried out correctly and the alarm systems are fully operational at all times. You will also carry out site patrols and CCTV monitoring of the Racecourse.

To be successful in this role you will:


  • have knowledge of alarm, fire and CCTV systems and experience of operating these or be willing to undergo training
  • be thorough and methodical
  • be reliable and able to work to a 24 hour shift pattern
  • be capable of working alone and use your own initiative
  • be naturally inquisitive, escalate suspicious behaviours and situations in line with company procedures
  • have previous experience within a customer facing or Security role

Given the nature of this role, and the busy environment there will be some unsocial hours required. The successful candidate will need to hold a valid UK driving licence, with access to a vehicle.
