  • Hours: Between 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am (20% night shift premium)
  • Days: Mon-Sun

We are recruiting for a Security Officer to be point of contact managing access to and from the building.

Main Duties:

  • Welcoming visitors to the site, booking them in and informing the appropriate people of their arrival.
  • Answer all incoming calls promptly and politely, directing them to the required location using the internal telephone system if required.
  • Logging times of vehicular movements on site
  • Monitor CCTV closely and report any suspicious behaviour to Senior Management immediately
  • Monitor access control systems and report suspicious behaviour to Senior Management immediately
  • Grant access in and out of the site, ensuring the correct process is followed at all times
  • Report any potential security risks to Senior Management
  • Ensure all visitors are aware of security process when entering site
  • Ensure all visitors sign Non-Disclosure Agreement upon arrival
  • Provide a Fire Marshal Muster Report as and when required.
  • General housekeeping within the Gatehouse area
  • Assisting staff/agency workers/visitors and contractors alike when they arrive/leave site.
  • Production time sheet entry
  • Conducting site security audits using a tablet

Skills/Experience:

  • Reasonable PC skills (including Microsoft Office packages)
  • Able to communicate both verbally and written.
  • Able to present themselves well.
  • Frontline SIA License (Security Officer or Door Supervisor)
  • In-date Action Counters Terrorism Certificates (Awareness & Security)
  • Able to work across early, late, and night shifts.
  • Good report writing skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,757.28 per hour

  • security: 1 year (preferred)

Language:

  • SIA (preferred)
  • Driving Licence (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Sunderland, Tyne and Wear (required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Sunderland, Tyne and Wear: Relocate before starting work (required)
