We are seeking professional and competent security officers in Bury.

The security officer will be working on duty alone and responsible for providing a first-class service, whilst ensuring the health, safety and security of people, property and assets.

Applicants must be flexible covering nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Reporting to: Operations Manager and Operations Support Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

The main duties of the security officer is to protect people, property and assets and support with maintaining a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.

· To conduct regular site patrols.

· To record, report and communicate effectively through verbal and written records.

· To ensure factual and accurate recording of information to share during the handover.

· To manage on site incidents.

· To professionally represent StrongGuard Security UK, the client and other support agencies to their values during your duties.

Applicants must have / be:

· Flexible and reliable with an excellent attendance and punctuality record.

· Smart and approachable.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills, verbal, written and listening.

· A team player with a positive, solution focused approach.

· Enthusiastic with a can do attitude.

· A valid SIA (Door Supervision or Security) licence.

The applicant would ideally hold a valid First Aid certificate; however, this is not essential, and training will be given.

The applicant would ideally have access to a vehicle, due to shift times.

Pre-Employment Screening & Vetting:

Start - following satisfactory interview, background checks and DBS.

Applicants must be able to provide a minimum of 10 years checkable employment / unemployment / educational history, with no gaps greater than 30 days.

This is required for Screening and Vetting as per the current BS 7858.
