Cavaghan & Gray, part of 2 Sisters Food Group are actively seeking to recruit a reliable, responsible, focused and competent individual for the role of Security Guard to join our team based in Carlisle.

Our ideal candidate for Security Guard position will be responsible for:

  • Promoting safe working conditions and protect personnel.
  • Preventing unauthorised access to site resulting in sabotage of products and or vehicles taking products to and from sites and to customers depots.
  • Protecting the business and customer.
  • Controlling access and egress to site.

Accountabilities:

  • Overall security of the site’s entrances, control vehicles and people accessing and egressing site.
  • Operate a control room using CCTV, radio communication and internal telephone to communicate with managers, engineers, first aiders and others in the business. Control fire and emergency evacuations with Engineering RED HAT.
  • Carry out checks on visitors and contractors for safe access to site i
  • Key control of main site keys. Stop and Search. Barrier and gate control. Walk rounds of perimeter fencing.
  • Taxi and emergency services control to site for first aid and other emergency issues. First aid provision.
  • Log incidents. Record issues. Complete waste sheet. Operate Tannoy. Operate phone lines for reception out of hours and absence line when required. Vehicle tag checking of outgoing depot vehicles.
  • Liaise with delivery drivers and docks.
  • TMS and POLAR control for personnel on site. Fire evacuation system FES card issuing. Post mail collection when required.
  • Ammonia, Fire, Chill and Freezer alarm checks and issue raising.
