Security Officer | Part time - Saturday - 6 Hours (Overtime available) | Liverpool | £11.00 to £14.50 per hour

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, contracted to provide services to the synagogue, your primary objective will be to maintain a safe and secure environment for all visitors, staff, and worshippers. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting regular patrols of the premises, including the synagogue building, surrounding areas, and car park, to deter and detect any potential security risks.

2. Greeting and assisting visitors, ensuring they adhere to the established security protocols.

3. Collaborating closely with the synagogue staff, local authorities and Police to ensure effective communication and coordination.

4. Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of security procedures, such as access control systems and emergency response plans, in alignment with the synagogue’s requirements.

5. Demonstrating sensitivity and respect for cultural and religious customs.

6. Providing support during special events, religious ceremonies, and community gatherings to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

There will also be hours available at other locations in Liverpool, access to full time positions and career progression.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

1. Proven experience in a security-related position, preferably in a multicultural or religious environment.

2. A valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) license.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

4. Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

5. Knowledge of relevant security practices, procedures, and legislation.

6. Respect for cultural and religious sensitivities, with the ability to apply this understanding to security practices.

7. Physical fitness and the ability to perform routine patrols and physical security checks.

8. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

The successful applicant will be subject to a full vetting process by both RNC Security Ltd and the CST. The successful applicant will also be expected to complete training with the CST prior to deployment.

Part-time hours: 6 per week

Salary: £14.50 per hour

• Every weekend
• Weekend availability

• Liverpool, Merseyside: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• frontline security: 1 year (required)

Language:

• English (required)

Licence/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (preferred)
• SIA licence (required)
